In Memory of those who lost their lives
Auschwitz-Birkenau is probably the largest cemetery and killing axis which has ever been in the modern World. Official statistics estimate that 1.1 million people were killed; unofficial figures say about the death of 4 million human lives. Among these who died were mostly Jews from all nationalities, Poles, Gypsies, and Soviet POWs. Nazis killed them by gassing by Zyklon-B in so-called bathrooms where deadly gas flew through instead of water; starving to death, burning, mass shooting, diseases or medical experiments.
It was later proved by the Soviet archive that “Adolf Hitler personally ordered the mass extermination of the Jews during a meeting of Nazi German regional governors in the chancellery. As Goebbels wrote “With regards to the Jewish question, the Fuhrer decided to make a clean sweep …””
